Snowman and Ikea have a Trade Deal.<\/h3>\n

\"SnowmanIKEA is foraying further into India and, as a result, is pushing its restaurant chain to generate more income than the national average. Currently, across the nations it serves, their restaurant business accounts for only ~5.5% of their global revenue, but in India, they hope to achieve a 10% contribution.<\/p>\n

To do this, they need to streamline their logistics department and better manage their in-store restaurants. Enter into a partnership with Snowman Logistics, which has previously focused solely on shipping and maintaining quick turnaround times.<\/p>\n

Now they are responsible for managing and overseeing ideal partnerships and expedited trade routes for Ikea in India. This is the first time Snowman has agreed to services like this.<\/p>\n

Why is this beneficial for Ikea and Snowman?<\/h3>\n

Currently, the model that Ikea has used works half as well as they want it to in India. Snowman has never done this extent of their job before, and they are in charge of managing how the store’s profits are recorded so far.<\/p>\n

So why is this a bigger risk for Snowman than Ikea?<\/h3>\n

Snowman was known for its cold-storage transportation. They only work with and manage to transfer products to a set degree.<\/p>\n

Now Ikea is looking to them to manage more than that, including non-frozen storage and dealing with a huge market at the same time.<\/p>\n

\"\"Ikea has a lot of faith in Snowman for this, but depending on how it turns out could result in losses for Ikea, but the blame would reside on Snowman moreso. They are relying on this expedited service to ensure demand is met for people ordering products.<\/p>\n

Will Snowman be able to provide excellent service at this scale, and if so, how will that translate to entering the Chinese market?<\/p>\n
