Customs Support for the Shipment You Have Now

Cargo Already Booked or in Transit

Your supplier may have arranged the freight without arranging US customs clearance. Send us the commercial invoice, available transport documents, and expected arrival details. We can review what has been arranged and discuss the brokerage work still required.

If the goods have already arrived, include any message from the carrier, terminal, or customs authorities. Tell us whether another broker has submitted an entry or an ISF. Understanding the existing filings and release status helps us establish the next step without duplicating work.

Preparing Your First Commercial Import

You don’t need to have every answer before speaking with us. A1 offers first-time importer setup and customs consultations, helping you understand the documents and information needed for your goods.

Contact us while you are preparing the order. We can review the product details and discuss classification, customs bonds, and filing requirements before the shipment moves. If something is missing from the supplier’s paperwork, we’ll explain what information is needed.

Regular Imports or a Change of Broker

For repeat shipments, tell us which products you import, how often you order, and when the next shipment is due. We can discuss the customs work needed across those orders, along with freight or delivery services you may want A1 to coordinate.

If you are changing brokers, explain what is already in progress and provide the records you have. The account setup, authorization, and status of any existing filings need to be reviewed before we take on the work.

Commercial Cargo We Help Move and Clear

Machinery, Equipment & Parts

Discuss your shipment of commercial equipment, production machinery, or replacement parts with our team. We can review customs classification and documentation alongside the freight and delivery requirements.

Include the model, technical description, packed dimensions, and weight. For heavy or oversized equipment, those details help us assess suitable transport and handling arrangements.

Importing machinery into the US

Food, Coffee & Perishable Products

A1 assists with food and perishable imports, including customs documentation and relevant government-agency requirements. We can also coordinate freight and delivery as part of the shipment.

Tell us exactly what the product is, where it was made, and how it is packaged. A first pallet order and a recurring container program may need different transport arrangements, even when the product is the same.

Commercial food imports · Importing coffee

Building Materials, Furniture & Goods for Resale

Bring us the details of your materials, furniture, textiles, or other commercial inventory. We can discuss customs clearance together with the movement to your warehouse, business premises, or project location.

For orders with several products, provide an itemized invoice and descriptions that identify the actual goods. For delivery, include the receiving address and any appointment or unloading requirements.

Importing Construction Materials

Vehicles, Boats & Oversized Cargo

A1 offers vehicle and boat clearance alongside international shipping services. Tell us the year, make, model, origin, and intended destination so our team can review the shipment requirements.

For larger cargo, include dimensions and weight. Transport arrangements and import eligibility need to be assessed for the actual goods before a booking is made.

How Working With A1 Starts

Call, email, or message us with the product details and what you have arranged so far. You may need customs clearance only, a freight quote, or help with several parts of the shipment.

We review the information and provide a quote for the requested work. This is the point to clarify what is included, whether you need delivery or storage, and what remains to be arranged.

After approval, we guide you through account opening and the authorization needed for the services. For customs brokerage, this includes the customs power of attorney before our broker acts on your behalf.

Our team works on the agreed services and contacts you when more information is needed. For freight, we coordinate the booking and monitor the shipment. For imports, we prepare the customs entry and work through the clearance requirements. Delivery can be arranged once the necessary releases are in place.

Personal Service Throughout Your Shipment

You should be able to ask a question and understand the answer. A1’s approach is to explain the customs and shipping work, keep you informed, and help you understand what needs to happen next.

That may mean identifying information missing from a supplier’s invoice, discussing the available freight options, or coordinating pickup after clearance. We work with the carriers and other providers involved so you have help with the connections between each part of the shipment.

For repeat customers, we can discuss the next order while reviewing what is already moving. For first-time importers, we take time to explain the account setup and the documents needed to get started.

Based in North Miami, Supporting US Imports and International Freight

Our North Miami team works with businesses importing into the United States and shipping goods internationally. South Florida is our home base, with customs and freight services extending beyond local shipments.

We support Miami customs clearance through PortMiami and Miami International Airport, and New York and New Jersey customs brokerage for cargo moving through the port, JFK, and Newark. We also have service information for Jacksonville and Tampa and Orlando.

These are service areas, not additional A1 offices. Tell us your arrival point and final destination so we can confirm the customs and transportation work required.

Questions Before You Get Started

Can A1 Handle Customs if Another Company Arranges the Freight?

Yes. Tell us which company is transporting the goods and what services are included in its quote. We can discuss the US customs work separately and coordinate the required information with the parties involved.

Do I Need a Full Container to Work With A1?

No. We can discuss smaller commercial orders moving as less than container load (LCL) freight, as well as full containers and air cargo. Share the packed dimensions, weight, and delivery needs so we can review the options.

How Much Will Customs Clearance Cost?

The quote depends on the goods, entry, and work required. Brokerage fees are separate from duties and other government or third-party charges. A1 provides a quote before proceeding and can explain which services it covers. See our customs clearance cost guide for the main cost categories.

How Soon Can My Goods Clear Customs?

The timing depends on the documents, the goods, and any review or examination required by Customs or another agency. Send the available information before arrival where possible. If the shipment is already at the port or airport, share its current status so we can assess what needs to happen next. A release date cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Does A1 Arrange Exports as Well as Imports?

Yes. Our freight forwarding services cover commercial goods moving into and out of the United States by air and ocean. We can discuss collection, bookings, shipping documents, and the onward transport required for the shipment.

Request a Customs or Freight Quote

Tell us what you need help with and where the goods are now. A supplier’s invoice or quote is a useful starting point, along with the expected port or airport and final delivery address. For a freight quote, include the packed dimensions and weight when available.

If this is a repeat order, mention how often you expect to ship. If the cargo is already moving, tell us its expected arrival date and which services have already been arranged.

We’ll review the details and explain the next steps. You can speak with us by phone or WhatsApp, or send the information by email.
